casa velarde is a charming old property with a lot of family history. the host is really helpful and friendly. the location is very convenient for an overnight stop - only about 30 minutes from santander ferry terminal. there's a good restaurant within 10-15 minutes walk, and it's easy to find with the directions given. the room is nice and clean - with a lot of character.

The room was nice and cozy, with a comfortable bed and a good shower. We stayed in January and they even provided an extra heater for us, keeping us warm and comfortable. The breakfast, with toast, jam, cake, and fresh coffee, was delivered right to our room - what a treat! The fact that Casa Velarde is dog-friendly and offers secure parking is a huge plus. We will definitely consider this place again for an overnight stay before catching the ferry. an amazing experience and great value for money.
